None of this is a new observation, and certainly not original. Some twenty-three centuries ago, Plato Snoopy hugs Woodstock on the chimney Merry Christmas shirt his cave allegory, depicting the human condition as one of totally subjective perception of shadows and distortions, and an utter inability to see through the distortions and perceive objective reality. The whole course of science through the ages has been a journey out of the cave, into the light.
